Introduction

MMPHW stands for Male Multipurpose Health Worker. This is the first and foremost step in male nursing profession. Nursing just does not mean serving an individual patient, it has much role to play, for eg: Health training, teaching, supervision and administration of hospital and promotion of health programmes in community.

Aptitude for Para medicos:

The most important quality one needs to possess, in order to go in for a Career in Paramedicos, is the ability to establish a rapport with patients and respect them. One should be able to understand situations and tackle them effectively.

As a Para medicos , one helps patients to fight off diseases and illnesses. Hence, qualities like patience, perseverance, responsibility and punctuality are required for one who is inclined to follow the profession of Nursing/Para medicos.

Organizational Skills, adaptability and the ability to make observations and to arrive at decisions rapidly are qualities, which are needed to be cultivated in order to be successful in this profession.

The Para medicos also requires the qualities of team spirit and alertness of mind in order to tackle emergency situations. A high level of physical fitness is a must since the job involves a lot of hard work.

When great medical feats are performed, it is the factors who walk away with all the credit. When patients are cured of life - threatening diseases, it is the doctors who get all the limelight.

But no great medical feat can be achieved, not can patients be cured of diseases without the services of a Para MEDICOS.

Para medicos comprise that part of the medical community who rarely come to limelight for doing their work. But the Contribution of Para medicos to the sick and the infirm people is no less than that of doctors.

It is the Para medicos who render the caring hand and the warm beart to patients, in order to help them get rid of their illnesses.

The prospect of good money is also assured as the demand for trained Para medicos is on the rise.

The profession of Para medicos involves taking care of the sick and the infirm people.

The Para medicos is one who apart from taking care of ill and convalescing people also assists and aids doctors, during examinations and operations on patients.

The para medicos are responsible for the post - operative care of a patient, in administering medicines and giving basic services.

The Para medicos also takes care of the hospital records and medical equipment.

If an MMPHW. student wants to pursue higher education  , he can go for G.N.M. male (General Nursing and Midwifery) B.Sc. (Nsg) and M.Sc. (Nsg.)

Eligibility

Male/Female candidates who have passed XII class (H.S.S.E) with Science / N.O.S. are eligible. Candidates studying / discontinued 10 + 2+3 / Intermediate / equivalent are also eligible

Age limit

Students should should not be more than 35 years of age as on 1st JANUARY of year of admission.

Course programme

  • 18 Months
  • Which includes 12 months-Class room study and internal practical during first year.

The second year includes class room study, internal lab practical and hospital trainings including field/community medical tours in the adjacent and far-flung areas.

Documents to be produced at the time of admission:

  • S.E (X class) Marks Memo
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Migration Certificate
  • Date of birth proof certificate
  • Caste certificate( for S.T, S.C & B.C. C students)
  • Income certificate

Documents to be attached with the admission form:

  • 07 xerox copies of each of the following testimonials
  • 10 +2 marks sheet , Date of Birth certificate , state subject ,caste certificate if any , income certificate.
  • Three self addressed postal envelopes worth ten rupees stamp affixed.
  • Ten latest passport size photographs ,dully paste two on admission form & eight to be pinned with the form.

Fee Structure

  • First Installment: Rs 20,000/ (At the time of Admission.)
  • Second Installment: Rs 15,000/ 
  • Third installment: Rs 10,000/ 
  • Fourth installment: Rs 10,000/ 
  • Clinic Charges: Rs 5000/
  • Total Rs 80,000 /

Note:The delay in the payments should be charged by the late fee of 10% of the balance of that time if exceeded by one week and after that a stern action should be taken as per the norms of the college which may even expel the student from the on rolls.
