I hereby extend a warm invitation on behalf of ‘Phoenix Para Medical College Pulwama” to the students who have passed the exam of matric or twelfth or being graduate to join our prestigious college and become a good Para Medico. Few medical establishments can claim to have such an excellent facilities and ambience as we have . Phoenix have been acclaimed as one of the best medical institutes in the valley. Besides first rare infrastructure and comprehensive facilities we have the added advantages of a large galaxy of specialists teachers which is the real wealth of any institute. Our whole staff (teaching /non-teaching /ministerial faculty) are young and talented capable of taking the college to new heights.

Nursing /Paramedical is one of the most fulfilling and challenging career in healthcare. As a nurse or as a paramedic ,you will have many different job opportunities available for you. You will be surrounded by the challenges , changes , and immense responsibilities to clients. As a nurse /paramedics ,you will assist in client care and make a difference in the lives of others. It is extremely important for you to remember that learning is a lifelong lifestyle and completion of the nursing /paramedical program does not end your learning. The paramedical /nursing programs are the foundation for you to build upon. All nurses /paramedics have the obligation and responsibility to take advantage of continuing education. Nurses have a responsibility of client care and require an enormous knowledge base. As a nurse /paramedical student ,you will learn about diversities of people . Enjoy the difference that others bring to your life. Your life will be deeply enriched by all those events which you encounter through your career . You will learn to care for your patient /clients ,your college ,your family and friends, and  most importantly yourself. Caring gives meaning to all that we do as a nurse /paramedics. Caring will give you a life of deep personal meaning with all that you will do as a nurse /paramedics. Should you need any assistance during your training programme ,please don’t  hesitate to set up it with the u/s.  

Medicine is a complex ,chaotic and ever changing so it is almost impossible to construct a detailed curriculum .You will cover a large amount of material , much greater than that of your A –Level . We will try hard to help you to learn but you will need  to adapt your study skills .Students often need to let go of techniques such as rote learning and writing  and rewriting of notes that got them through A-Levels.

One of the key attributes of successful students is good organization. You should start before you arrive by keeping a personal diary. This will allow you to note where you should be and what time to arrive. You can also make a note of deadlines for submitting assignments ,appointments ,tutorials etc.

We will teach you about evidence and science ,most students enjoy that , it’s logical . We will try and teach you about the health care and medical education which some students may find more difficult. You may see it as obvious or common sense but it’s not. Our phenomenon of teaching and learning will guide you but the responsibility for your learning and development rests with you.

Phoenix Paramedical College is a community of students and staff . It has a culture of mutual respect. We know that you'll be busy and want to have a life outside of medicine to make new friends. Most of us were medical students once and we remember !We are there to guide and support you.
